MONTHLY UPDATE NOVEMBER 2009

Woolstore Summer Festival....

This weekend the Woolstore is having a two day festival offering lots of fun, ideas and shopping. There’s wine tasting throughout the building, jazz, ice sculpture, and lots of other individual activities. Limited Editions will be open on both days to discuss our work and show you some of the latest fabrics and wallpapers. Click here to see the flyer and check the DomPost for further information.

Philippa Whitaker’s portfolio
We have had a wonderful response to Philippa Whitaker’s portfolio which now features on our website. Many of you have phoned or sent emails, all with the same message – that it’s great to see Limited Editions continuing to foster excellence in residential interior architecture and design. Philippa joined Limited Editions in early October and she is now fully involved in all aspects of our work. Click on Philippa’s portfolio, or call her to discuss how she can help you with your interior.

Zonta Award 2009
Limited Editions continues to sponsor the Zonta award to further the status of women in design at Massey University’s College of Creative Arts. Last week we attended a wonderful celebration to see six very impressive young women receive their Zonta awards. Morgan Terry was awarded the Spatial Design award sponsored by Limited Editions Interior Architecture and Design, and we were all very impressed with her beautiful design for a bathhouse in Waitangi Park.

Improving the value of your home
The New Zealand Green Building Council has just announced that work is now underway on the development of a residential rating tool to assess the comfort and performance of New Zealand's new and existing homes. The rating will be designed to assess the performance of our homes, provide information for home owners considering improvements to their home, and provide a performance scale that creates value around warm, healthy, and efficient homes.

One of the ultimate goals is that home owners or occupiers performing home improvements that make their home warmer, drier, or more energy efficient will be able to link these improvements to the capital value of their property.

Visit the Green Building Council website for more information and follow the links to other related sites.

Enjoy!
