Welcome to the Christmas newsletter from the team at Limited Editions

We have now been in our new Studio up stairs from the old Limited Editions for three months. We love the new space and the relaxed workshop atmosphere.

This newsletter is focused on explaining our new Limited Editions and how it works – what we can do for you, what to expect, and where to find us.

First, a little bit of background

Practically, very little has changed. We have the same group of people, doing the work they have always done.

Over the years, running our Design Studio became our main business, allowing us to develop individual solutions for every customer.

This meant we were continually designing custom joinery, individual pieces of furniture, bathrooms, kitchens, and we were making one off custom furnishings to suit all types of places – from small apartments to the Beehive.

Having a retail showroom finally became unnecessary, and eventually we felt it was a distraction from our core business.

Our focus
Our focus is now on the development of our design business – we offer a complete range of design services

• Interior space planning and renovation
• Kitchen and bathroom design
• Design of custom joinery and individual pieces of furniture
• Design and supply of bespoke curtains, blinds and other soft furnishings
• Supply of all types of furniture and sourcing antiques, art, etc
• Colour Consultation
• Project management

We have always been known for our residential work, but we also undertake work in the hospitality and health sectors.

In future, we plan to develop our business wherever there is a need for personalized interior spaces – this could be private hospitals, company boardrooms, hotels and lodges or professional offices.

How do we work?
Limited Editions has always been accessible to anyone who wishes to visit at any time. However, as we no longer have showroom staff we do recommend that you call first if you wish to discuss a specific project, or seek some help and advice.

We will always do our best to slot you in at a time to suit, but we cannot guarantee that we can help you if you arrive without a prior arrangement. All our staff are now committed to working on projects and their time is usually booked ahead

What do we charge?
Our fees are $95 to $125 per hour depending on the nature of the work, and our minimum charge is $250.00. We like to work to detailed briefs and we are able to give you estimates for fees, once we know the scope of the job.

Do we always charge fees?
We charge fees for all advisory, design and drawing work, but fees are not always chargeable for soft furnishings.

For example if you visit our fabric library and choose a fabric you would like made up into curtains, we would not charge a fee in addition to the cost of the curtains.

However if you ask us to visit your home or office, then find fabrics and/or prepare schemes for you, we would charge a fee.

How can you see our work?
There is a gallery on our website which shows some recent work.

If you wish to see specific examples of joinery, bathroom or kitchen design, we hold copies of all drawings and we are very happy to show you examples of this work.

If you wish to visit a site, this can usually be arranged.

How do I get to the Limited Editions studio?
Many of you know that we are still in the building we have been in for many years, but actually getting up to the Studio can be a little confusing, especially as the whole building is still being renovated.

The Woolstore Buildings will soon have lots of signage and directions.

In the meantime, the most direct route to Limited Editions is up the tiled ramp between Wade House and the car park, and then in through the lobby to the lift or stairs.

Go up to Level 2, and then turn right into Limited Editions. Look out for our sign on the street pointing to the ramp

Finally, now that another year has rushed by, we would like to wish you a wonderful Christmas, and good luck in 2007. Our Studio will close for the year on Friday 22nd December and reopen on Monday 8th January.
